Police Find Suspect Who Called In Threat To Griffin Memorial Hospital

The person who called in a threat to Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman on Tuesday is now in police custody, according to Cleveland County authorities.

The person who called in a threat to Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman on Tuesday is now in police custody, according to Cleveland County authorities.

Authorities say the name of the suspect will not be released at this time.

According to police, there is no active threat at the hospital, located in the 900 block of East Main in Norman. Police told News 9 that a call went to Red Rock Behavioral Health from a former Griffin Memorial Hospital patient making threats to Griffin Memorial Hospital.

Both the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office and the Norman Police Department responded to Griffin and did not find any threat. A SWAT team did a sweep of the hospital and also did not find a threat.
