Plane Crashes Near Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport

A pilot was doing OK Wednesday night after a crash in Logan County, deputies confirmed.

The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. near East Seward Road and South Midwest Boulevard, near Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport.

Authorities say the plane was a single-engine Van's RV-8A.

According to the Logan County Sheriff's Office, the pilot was able to get out of the plane and was checked by paramedics at the scene.

The FAA says they will investigate the cause of the crash.
