Tulsa Traffic Update: Lane Closures, Construction Delays On Oklahoma Roadways (Nov. 25, 2024)

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) have provided details on several Tulsa and surrounding regions' traffic advisories.

Here's what you need to know:

US-75 Closures in Glenpool

1. Monday Night: Northbound lanes at 141st St. closed intermittently from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday for traffic realignment.
2. Tuesday Night: Southbound lanes at 141st St. closed intermittently from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday.
3. Bridge Work: Narrowed lanes and reduced speeds at 141st St. through summer 2025.

US-169 Closure at 61st St.

1. Tuesday: Northbound left lane closed 9 a.m.–noon for barrier wall repairs.

Turnpike Updates

Muskogee Turnpike

1. Eastbound SH-351 at US-64 (mm 55) narrows to one lane 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Tuesday for erosion control.

Turner Turnpike

1. Near Heyburn: Shoulder closures (mm 201-203) for a six-lane widening project through fall. SH-66 narrowed intermittently at mm 202, and W. 211th St. closed through summer 2025 for bridge construction.
2. At SH-99, Stroud: Narrow lanes near the service plaza during reconstruction.
3. At SH-66, Wellston: Lanes shifted, SH-66 closed between off-ramps (mm 158) through summer 2025 for bridge widening.

Ongoing Highway Projects

I-244 in West Tulsa

1. Through Spring 2025: Pavement work narrows I-244 to two lanes in both directions. Westbound I-244 and on-ramps closed between US-75 and I-44.

US-412 in Sand Springs

1. Bridge rehabilitation narrows lanes at 81st W. Ave. through February 2025.

SH-97 in Sand Springs

1. Pavement reconstruction from S. Main St. to W. 2nd St. continues through spring 2025. Center turn lanes at US-412 are closed.

SH-51 in Broken Arrow

1. Intersection improvements at 91st St. ongoing through fall 2024 with reduced speeds.
