The Temple Owls beat Tulsa 20-10 on Saturday for their second victory of the season while Tulsa fell to 2-5 on the season.

Temple scored 17 straight points in the first half before Tulsa got within 17-10 with 2:40 left in the third quarter. Tulsa had several chances to make it a closer in the 4th quarter, but penalties and turnovers plagued the Golden Hurricane. Cooper Legas got the start at QB for Tulsa after Kevin Wilson revealed that Kirk Francis was banged up during the open week. Francis did make an appearance on the third drive of the game for Tulsa. The offense also had a new starting left tackle after Kaden Stanton left the team according to Wilson. Tulsa returns home this Saturday vs UTSA at 2:30.
