A man is dead and two Tulsa Police officers are on administrative leave following a shooting Monday afternoon.

Tulsa Police said it the suspect's sons' high school called authorities to alert them about an ongoing situation at a home near E. 31st Street and South Mingo Avenue.

Officers responded to the home near 9200 E. 32nd Pl. around 3:30 p.m. and found a man who was dealing with mental health issues.

Police said the man entered his vehicle and drove off before returning to the home. Officers never chased him.

The man allegedly kept going back in and out of his home with weapons, when police said he came out with a pistol and pointed it at police.
