Dave Jordan joined NEWS 9 in July 2005 as a crime reporter. Since his arrival in Oklahoma City, Okla., he's been honored by the Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Oklahoma Association of Black Journalists.
Dave previously worked for KARK-TV, the NBC affiliate in Little Rock, Ark. While there, he interviewed former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton, former Attorney General John Ashcroft and Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez. Dave is remembered for his coverage of the federal extortion trial of Pine Bluff Alderman Jack Foster, a chemical explosion at the Teris Plant in South Arkansas and the December 2004 snowstorm.
Dave, an alumni of Long Island University in New York state, spent his senior year of college reporting for Bloomberg Business News. His articles appeared in newspapers across the country, including the New York Times. Upon graduation, he left his native New York City for a reporting position at WJCL-TV in Savannah, Ga. His investigative coverage of mismanagement at the Chatham Nursing Home led to the resignation of senior staff. From there, Dave headed back to NYC to resume business reporting before being lured back into television.
Dave is an avid reader and traveler. He enjoys working out and visiting family in New York and the Caribbean.
