MIAMI, OK -- Three men and two women were arrested following the search of a Miami home in reference to an operating methamphetamine lab.
Ottawa County Sheriff Terry Durborow said the five, were arrested as a result of a joint narcotics investigation between the sheriff's office and the Miami Police Department.
Law enforcement officers searched a home in the 300 block of 11th Place.
"Officers said the odor and fumes emitting from the process of manufacturing the powerful stimulant Methamphetamine were overwhelming as they made entry into the residence and took the suspects into custody," Sheriff Terry Durborow said.
The five arrested include 21-year old Rachael G. Danley, 23-year old Rocky D. Hall, 31-year old Kelly Ann Jackson, 32-year old Travis D. Simpson and 29-year old Nathan S. Thomas.
Sheriff Durborow said once the suspects were taken into custody, the odor and fumes at the home were so strong the Miami Fire Department was summoned to ventilate the home.
