Terrill is required to wear an ankle monitor until former Democratic state Sen. Debbe Leftwich's trial has ended.
A 12-member jury convicted Terrill Tuesday evening of offering a bribe for withdrawal of candidacy. Prosecutors allege Terrill, a Republican, offered to put Leftwich in an $80,000-a-year job at the medical examiner's office if she would agree to not seek re-election in 2010 so that a Republican state representative could run for her open seat. Terrill had denied the allegations.
