Officials Investigate After Cushing Building Collapses

A building in Cushing continues to fall apart after it collapsed Tuesday night.

The building is located at Broadway Street and Noble Avenue in Cushing. Several roads in the area are blocked off Wednesday morning. Officials said the building used to be apartments before it was a hobby store.

No one was inside the building at the time and there is no sign of fire or any other cause. But one woman who lives in the town has an idea.

"I think it’s from the earthquakes. I’m not sure why we are having them. They are having an effect on everyone here," Julia Jacob said.

Just last week, a 4.0 earthquake hit Cushing and knocked out power.
