Oklahoma's Indian Gaming Association is taking aim at the problem of Human Trafficking. That was one of the topics of discussion during the first day of the 19-annual Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association Convention at the Cox Center.

OKC Immigration Attorney Jasmine Majid moderated a session on the subject.

"They are global organizations and they're causing damage globally," said Majid. "Be the eyes and ears, you don't have to take action, let law enforcement do that."

Majid says human traffickers target people who work in the hospitality industry as victims.

Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association Executive Director Sheila Morago says her organization will do what it can to stay in front of the growing problem.

"It's not good to hide in the sand, so want to make sure our people have the right information at their fingertips," said Morago. "We want to make sure our folks are trained in every aspect."
