Undercover Investigators Nab OKC Man Trying To Meet Teen For Sex

An Oklahoma City man was arrested in Yukon on Friday, accused of trying to have sex with an underage girl in what turned out to be an undercover sting set up by the Canadian County Sheriff's office.

Deputies arrested 24-year-old Korbin Kenmore on Friday afternoon, after investigators say he took a lunch break from his job to meet up with someone, who he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

It all began on social media, where the sheriff's office had created a fictitious profile of a young girl. According to investigators, not only did Kenmore send the friendship request to the dummy-profile, he also aggressively pursued the “young girl” to meet for sex.

“This case developed very quickly once Kenmore connected with our undercover profile. The dialogue escalated to an unconscionable, filthy and foul mouthed conversation with what he believed was a fourteen year old girl, and him describing the deplorable sex acts he wanted to perform on her innocent little body,” said Canadian County Sheriff, Randall Edwards.

On the day of his arrest, Kenmore thought he was going to use his lunch break to meet the girl at a retail store in Yukon first before going someplace to have sex. Deputies arrived first at the agreed upon location and set up for his arrival.

Deputies watched as Kenmore arrived and “eagerly ran between two retail stores attempting to locate the girl he'd come to have sex with.”

After a short time observing his actions, deputies pounced into action, intercepting Kenmore in an alleyway between the businesses. Deputies say when confronted Kenmore refused to comply with their commands and had to be taken down.

According to the report, although Kenmore initially resisted the deputies during his arrest, he still provided a full confession to the crime. He was transported to the Canadian County Jail and booked on one count of Soliciting Sex from a Minor by use of Technology. He was released on Saturday after posting a $50,000 bond.
