The kind act of an Edmond Police Lieutenant has put the minds of a two young sisters at ease.
Ava and Aubrey Craig are 9 and 11 years old. Aubrey sleeps with a golf club and Ava a baseball bat next to their beds. Their mother says all of the violence the girls see on TV has made it hard for the girls to sleep. Ava had even been sleeping with her bedroom light on.
However, when Edmond Police Lt. Paul Barbour found out about the girls' fears earlier this week, he left a letter on their parents' front door early Tuesday. In it, he assured the girls that police patrol her neighborhood regularly, and they have nothing to worry about.

"It was very cool to know somebody was watching after us," Aubrey said Thursday.
"It helps knowing he's out there watching," Ava said.
Barbour says even after working 29 years for Edmond Police, writing the letter also gave him a special feeling as well.
"I don't want any child to go to bed at night worried about their safety," he said.
