A man was arrested after a deadly shooting at the Biltmore Hotel, Oklahoma City police said.
The shooting happened Saturday after police said two men had gotten into an altercation inside.
Officers were called just before 9 p.m. Saturday to the hotel near Meridian Avenue and Interstate 40.
The altercation between the two men happened behind the lobby and that’s where the suspect began firing shots, police said.
"Broken glass and things like that in the actual lobby," said Jeff Spruill, with Oklahoma City police. "But the male was shot in the back hallway and he then went down the hallway and collapsed in the hallway."
The man shot was identified as 40-year-old Robert Thomas. He died at the scene.
Witnesses described the suspect as fleeing in a white pickup.
Later that night, police were able to track down and arrest 28-year-old Rogelio Agundis.
Agundis was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of first-degree murder.
Police said it’s still unknown what started the altercation between the two men, and investigators are still piecing together the evidence.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the homicide tip line at 405-297-1200.
