The City of Edmond is allowing the face covering ordinance in the city to expire.
The ordinance is set to expire at midnight on Tuesday, March 23.
All residents are highly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines that include washing hands, social distancing and wearing of masks, City spokesman Casey Moore said.
If a business or establishment does post that they require masks in their facility, all residents are asked to comply.
The City Council also voted to extend the declaration of emergency relating to the COVID-19 pandemic through April 27.
