Man Arrested After Crashing Into Entrance Ramp Wall During Police Pursuit

Tulsa police arrested a man on Wednesday afternoon after he attempted to flee from officers before crashing near I-44 and South Peoria Avenue.

According to police, a motorcycle patrol officer attempted to pull over a driver after police said he was driving recklessly.

Police said that the suspect attempted to flee from officers at a high rate of speed and the officer did not pursue. The suspect then crashed his vehicle into the entrance ramp wall at I-44 and South Peoria Avenue.

Police say the suspect fled from the vehicle and ran into a nearby Walgreens parking lot where he then attempted to jump into a couple of cars.

Police were able to catch up to the suspect and arrested him on the scene.

According to police, the suspect had a 9mm handgun and bullets.
