OCPD Asks Residents To Report Fireworks Complaints To Non-Emergency Phone Number

Fireworks are expected to be set off throughout the metro Sunday in celebration of the Fourth of July.

If there are any fireworks violations, however, Oklahoma City police is asking residents to contact a non-emergency number that is not 911.

If any residents are witnessing fireworks violations and would like to report them to police, OCPD Capt. Arthur Gregory told News 9 that they should call 405-231-2121 instead.

Gregory said the new number will prevent the 911 phone lines from being tied up for potential emergencies.
