Severe storms moved through the Oklahoma City metro area overnight Thursday into Friday causing some damage on the south side of the city.

No tornadoes were reported with these storms, which didn't form until almost 10 p.m. Thursday. However, the storms gained strength toward midnight, and eventually met severe thunderstorm criteria. On the south side of Oklahoma City, the storms dropped a lot of hail and produced damaging wind.

Reports from officials in the area to News 9 indicated damage from Regina Road down to Southwest 29th Street to Interstate 240 on the south side of the city.

News 9 Storm Trackers Hank and Patty Brown spotted storm damage including a possible partial roof collapse at an apartment complex at 5700 S. Agnew Avenue.
