A Los Angeles man who spent four years in an Oklahoma prison after getting caught trafficking drugs through Oklahoma City in 2006, now calls Oklahoma home and is using his story to inspire others. Abraham Cruz is now an entrepreneur, who has built a worldwide brand called Forever Faith, which is rooted in helping others.

"I give thanks and praise to Oklahoma because Oklahoma was like the new wake-up call for me,” said Cruz.

Cruz says he grew up poor in L.A. and when he was down on his luck, he chased the fast cash by trafficking cocaine across the country. That was until he got pulled over on an Oklahoma turnpike and went to prison. But, he says it all happened for a reason.

"I remember my mom had told me, it is time to man up, you made that choice, you did the crime, you've got to do the time,” said Cruz.

Cruz's time in an Oklahoma prison wasn't wasted. He says he started designing his brand in his prison cell, by scribbling messages or t-shirt ideas, on the back of napkins or whatever paper he could find. He says he even paid other prisoners, with ramen noodles, to sketch designs for him.

"I literally wrote out the future in prison,” said Cruz. “The first mission was to give everyone a message Forever Faith. Mindset of Champions,"

"I believe when we hit a rock bottom, and we get enough pain and suffering, that's when it's time to say, I can't live like this."

With the love and support from his wife and family, Cruz has changed his life and built a fast-growing business, and even launched his first book.

"When we focus on what we want to do in life, there's no limits, we can do anything that we want. People need to understand that they have the power to move forward and become a success,” said Cruz.

Cruz speaks at churches, high schools, colleges, and detention centers across the country and other countries, sharing his story, of faith.

"Convicted felon, to doing these things is, I have no other explanation than God has given me a second chance and I want to help other people out there too,” said Cruz.
