Oklahoma City Police are searching for suspects in connection to a drive-by shooting that sent one person to the hospital.

This all unfolded at around 3 a.m. Sunday in northeast Oklahoma City.

News 9 spoke to the victim shot at during the shooting.

He said after a night out with friends, things took a turn for the worse.

Oklahoma City police said they got a call Sunday morning that there had been a shooting on North Lincoln Boulevard.

“There were officers in the area that actually heard shots being fired and were trying to converge onto the area when the 911 call came in,” Msgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.

Police pulled into the 7-Eleven and found the victim's car with several bullet holes in it and the driver with a gunshot wound to the head.

“I looked up and then I said, ‘These dudes is shooting at me.’ I saw the sparks and then I seen the fire coming my direction,” the shooting victim said.

The victim, who wants to stay anonymous, said the shooting happened on his way home from a club.

“They started from the back and worked the way up from the side of me,” the shooting victim said. “I thought it was over with when I felt that hit my head. I heard a bell in my head and everything kind of slowed down. I couldn't tell you which way they went or nothing.”

The victim said he drove to the convenience store for help. He was transported to OU Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

“They said that I was lucky. Somebody was praying for me because the bullet grazed my head,” the shooting victim said.

No arrests have been made. Police said they will be reaching out to businesses in the area to see if there's any surveillance video of the shooting.

“I'll have to leave the nightlife alone a little bit you know what I’m saying. I'm raising kids now,” the shooting victim said.

Oklahoma City police are asking anyone with any information to give Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.
