16-Year Old Arrested In Connection To Deadly Shooting In SW OKC

A 16-year-old was arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that happened Thursday night in southwest Oklahoma City, according to Oklahoma City Police.

Police said they responded to the scene at around 10 p.m. after reports of gunfire near Southwest 74th Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers on scene found the victim, Armani Rivera, 16, dead from a gunshot wound.

While investigating, detectives learned of a 16-year-old suspect.

The suspect was taken into custody at his home near South Blackwelder Avenue and Southwest 70th Street.

Police said the suspect was booked into the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center on the complaint of first-degree murder.
