Cleveland County Man Charged With First-Degree Murder In Death Of 4-Month-Old Child

A Cleveland County man has been charged in connection to the death of a 4-month-old.

Moore Police and U.S. Marshall's arrested Shaun Wadlow, Jr. on Thursday.

On Feb. 9, a 4-month-old infant was left in the care of Wadlow at an apartment complex near North Eastern Avenue and East Main Street.

At around 7:14 p.m., the mother of the child called Wadlow, and he told her that the infant was unresponsive.

Authorities responded to the scene and the infant was found to be not breathing.

The 4-month-old was transported to the hospital where it was discovered that the infant had a severe brain injury.

A child abuse medical specialist indicated the injuries the infant suffered were consistent with inflicted trauma-child abuse.

Based on defendant and witness statements, the injuries the infant sustained occurred during the time she was in the care of Wadlow.

Wadlow has been charged with first-degree murder, and his bond was set at $1,000,000.
