Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic allergist Maya Gharfeh said there are ways you can reduce those triggers. Some of those ways include wearing a mask when doing yard work, changing out of clothes worn outdoors, frequently washing hands and checking air filters inside your home.
Gharfeh also said to check on children who suffer from asthma to make sure the pollen isn't making it worse.
“If your kid is coughing at night, having trouble talking and wheezing, those could be signs that the allergies are getting worse," Gharfeh said.
Doctors also recommend taking medicine such as a nasal spray or antihistamines during allergy season.
