Student Arrested After Being Found With Firearm At OKC School

An Oklahoma City Public Schools student brought a weapon to Emerson North Alternative on Friday and was arrested.

Oklahoma City Police said they were notified that a student was in class and in possession of a firearm.

Police had the student step out of the classroom and placed in handcuffs.

Officers then took possession of the gun.

After further investigation, it was discovered that the gun was stolen out of Oklahoma City.

The district said the student will be disciplined and could face criminal charges.

The student was booked into the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center.
