OHP Confirms 1 Dead After Dewey Co. Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed one person died after a crash that happened at around 8:00 a.m. Monday approximately 2 miles southeast of Oakwood.

OHP said Mikaela S. Warren, 29, was traveling westbound on US-270 when the vehicle Warren was driving crossed over the center median, impacting a semi-truck driven by Douglas D. Stewart, 61.

Warren's vehicle then departed the roadway to the left and rolled on its side before coming to a rest.

Stewart was treated on scene for a leg injury and released, however, Warren was transported to a hospital in Watonga, where she was pronounced dead at 12:47 p.m.

Seatbelts in both vehicles were in use, and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
