A suspect has been found guilty in connection to the murder of a woman and her unborn child in 2018.

A McClain County clerk confirmed that Joshua Finkbeiner was found guilty on Monday of two first-degree murder charges for the murder of Shaliya Toombs and her unborn child.

Finkbeiner is set to be formally sentenced Wednesday.

Toombs’ body was found in the back of a pickup truck May 2, 2018 at a gas station near Interstate 35 in McClain County. Toombs was approximately seven months pregnant.
