Man Shot, Killed By Roommate At SW OKC Apartment Complex

Oklahoma City Police said a man shot and killed another man he was living with Thursday morning at a southwest Oklahoma City apartment complex.

Officers responded just before 10 a.m. to Hillcrest Green on Southwest 74th Street, across the road from Oklahoma City Community College. When they arrived, they found one man dead, Sgt. Dillon Quirk, the assistant public information officer at the Oklahoma City Police Department, said.

"It appears that there was an altercation between two people who lived together at that apartment complex that resulted in one shooting the other," Quirk said. "The person who did shoot did call 911. They remained there on scene."

Quirk said the investigation was in the early stages and it was unclear what the altercation was about.

"There's still interviews to be given and so currently, as it stands, there are no arrest made in this case," Quirk said.

The names of the shooter and victim were not released.

This was the 12th homicide investigation in Oklahoma City this year. On Monday, another man was fatally shot at a different apartment complex.
