Former Wellston Substitute Teacher Accused Of Soliciting Student

A former Wellston substitute teacher is facing charges for allegedly having a relationship with a student.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Emma 'Delaney' Hancock is facing charges of lewd or indecent proposals or acts to a child under the age of 16, soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology and obscene or indecent writings, pictures.

On Nov. 4, 2022, Captain Larry Stover with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau Of Investigation's assistance in an investigation on a Wellston substitute teacher who had allegedly been sending nude pictures to a 15-year-old student.

On Nov. 8, 2022, an interview was conducted with the student who said the interaction started on October 6 when Hancock put the student's phone number into her phone for an assignment.

The student said that Hancock had sent a friend request on the social media app Snapchat where they began messaging back and forth.

The conversation escalated weeks after they began messaging on the app to the point where they were sending nude pictures and videos, the student said during the interview.

The student also claimed two instances where they would touch each other during lunch in the classroom.

The affidavit stated that one day Hancock was subbing for a class where she showed two other students some videos from a Halloween party where she was shown putting her mouth on what she claimed was an adult toy.

A search warrant was obtained, and the Snapchat videos were located, the affidavit said.
