An Oklahoma man who has been in and out of prison has been accused of committing a three month long crime spree across the metro.

Leslie Murray’s spree came to an end on Tuesday following a high-speed pursuit with Luther police and foot search.

Court documents indicated Murray, 29, has ties to the Irish Mob and a search of court records reveals his felony convictions date back to 2013. Murray is currently in custody at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on 12 complaints stemming from the police pursuit and an outstanding warrant.

According to charges filed by Oklahoma County prosecutors, Murray's crime spree started in February when a car was reported stolen near Yukon. Oklahoma City officers quickly tracked the vehicle to a home on the northwest side of the city. Police said a phone Murray left behind rang while officers were searching the vehicle for evidence. The person on the other end was Murray's sister.

In March, police in Purcell posted photos on social media of Murray using a stolen credit card at a gas station. Several days later, Edmond police were called to investigate a car burglary where a woman's purse was stolen. Murray used the victim's credit cards at Walgreens and Home Depot. Murray was caught on camera at both stores and has since been charged for crimes.

Murray was caught on camera again on Tuesday during an arrest. Luther police said Murray was driving a stolen truck during a pursuit with officers Monday night. He was also accused of ramming multiple patrol vehicles and crashing the truck Monday night. He fled on foot and was captured the next day in an Edmond neighborhood.

“He has a warrant out of Logan County for third-degree burglary and receiving stolen property,” said Captain Chris Fetters, Luther Police Department.

Captain Fetters said the same day as the pursuit a citizen reported his trailer was stolen. Police connected Murray to the stolen trainer. Fetters said tips led officers to the trailer. It was recovered and returned to the owner.

“I’m going to take a pretty good guess there’s going to be additional charges,” said Fetters.

Murray’s current bond was set at $338,000.
