Fans Welcome Home ORU Baseball Team After Record-Breaking Season

ORU baseball was welcomed back by fans Wednesday afternoon at JL Johnson stadium, dodging raindrops to congratulate the Golden Eagles on the most successful season in almost half a century.

The Golden Eagles no doubt would have preferred their return trip to Tulsa were a few days later, but despite ending sooner than they wanted, the season will go down as one of the most successful in program history.

The team won 52 games, a program record for the division 1 era.

Cade Denton was national collegiate baseball writers' association stopper of the year. Ryan Folmar was named the coach of the year.

An elimination game loss to TCU shouldn't tarnish the year.
