Charges have been filed against the man accused of killing his ex-wife before stealing his son Saturday in Oklahoma City.

Chase Ainsworth is facing one count of first-degree murder and one count of child stealing, according to documents from the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office.

The documents said Samantha Ainsworth was found dead Saturday in her home.

Witnesses claimed they saw Chase Ainsworth take their 5-year-old son from the home.

An Endangered Persons Alert was sent before the child and Ainsworth were found near Southwest 119th Street and South Rockwell Avenue.

Court records show this isn’t the first time he’s been arrested in regards to Samantha.

They filed for divorce in December of 2022 and a couple months later Samantha filed a Victim Protection Order.

A probable cause affidavit showed Ainsworth violated that order twice by showing up and trying to break into her home. He also sent her numerous text messages.

According to court records, Ainsworth sent Samantha a message saying she will "continue to be his prophet until I leave this earth," and "the devil told him that I'm sinless. He immediately thought it was a lie, so Jesus has been the one trying to kill me."

Samantha Ainsworth worked at Central Junior High School. The district said the Moore Public Schools Family was shocked and heartbroken by the news.
