Oklahoma City police and the U.S. Marshals are offering an $11,000 reward for info leading to the arrest of Kameron Jenkins. They put out a plea urging tips to Crime Stoppers.

When multiple agencies are working on a case, OKC Crime Stoppers leaders said it helps to have one location where people can share information. They said it keeps tips organized and saves time for investigators. The hunt for dangerous people can cover a lot of ground.

“Often times we have violent, fleeing felons,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk, with the Oklahoma City Police Department. “We need to find out where they are, and we need to get them off the street.”

Agencies in Garvin County have searched day and night for Kameron Jenkins. The man authorities accuse of shooting a Cleveland County Deputy.

“I’m telling you we will find him,” said Sheriff Jim Mullet, with the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office.

As investigators try to find Jenkins, citizens are invited to help with this mission.

“A person looking to do the right thing,” Quirk said.

The tipline OKC Crimestoppers has been around for four decades.

“It’s funded and run by a group of citizens; private donors,” Quirk said.

Quirk said Crime Stoppers is a tool for Oklahoma Law enforcement to organize information.

“All of our tips can go to one generalized location,” Quirk said.

People’s tips can help answer investigators’ questions.

“They call in. They give us the tip. We then in turn give them an ID number so we never know who they are,” Quirk said.

From January through June of this year – law enforcement arrested 177 people and solved 100 cases thanks to people sharing what they know.

“We’re thankful for our very supportive community,” Quirk said.

Information to connect the path to suspects like Jenkins -- one of Oklahoma’s most wanted. Crime Stoppers leaders say they have already received several tips about Jenkins. They are sharing that information with investigators.

Anyone with a tip to submit can call 405-235-7300 or visit okccrimetips.com -- and tips are anonymous.
