$1 Million Lottery Prize Claimed By Edmond Man

The winner of a $1 million lottery ticket has officially claimed their prize, the Oklahoma Lottery Commission says.

The winning ticket was sold at the OnCue at 1001 N. Portland Ave, sources say.

The man has been identified as Richard from Edmond, but declined media recognition.

Richard plans to put his winnings toward his retirement, according to the Oklahoma Lottery Commission. Richard is the 80th millionaire from the Oklahoma Lottery, the commission says.

A ticket sold in California won $1.675 billion.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each, and are sold in most states. Drawings take place Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10 p.m.
