Chris Riggs, a parent to 2 young boys, says it's the same daily routine. But it's being impacted by a reckless driver.
Now, Riggs says he needs to watch even closer for the boy's safety.
"A very much stopped and parked school bus with lights on, horn going, doing everything they can to get them to stop," said Riggs. "I could see he had car seats in his second row. So I am disappointed that another parent of clearly small children would have such a disregard."
Video from this week shows the second time a white Lincoln navigator has driven by the bus, the first time on September 19th.
In an Oklahoma City Police report, the officer says he watches the video, and "the driver completely disregards the warning and appears to never slowdown."
According to Oklahoma state law, "The driver of a vehicle meeting or overtaking a school bus that is stopped to take on or discharge school children, and on which the red loading signals are in operation, is to stop the vehicle before it reaches the school bus and not proceed until the loading signals are deactivated and then proceed past such school bus at a speed which is reasonable and with due caution for the safety of such school children and other occupants."
The Choctaw Nicoma Park School Superintendent encourages anyone who sees someone not obeying the law to call the police.
