A man was arrested on November 4th following a police pursuit that resulted in shots being fired, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Freddie Gaskey, 46, refused to stop for a traffic stop initiated by the Cleveland Police Department according to police, and then led police on a pursuit.
Police say Gaskey made a u-turn during the pursuit, almost hitting a patrol vehicle, then stopped.
Gaskey then opened his door and pointed a firearm at police, according to the OSBI. Police then fired at Gaskey.
Gaskey was arrested, transported to a hospital, and then transported to Pawnee County Jail, according to OSBI.
No one was injured during the shooting, police say.
Gaskey is facing charges of two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm after felony conviction, possession of a sawed-off shotgun or rifle, felony attempting to elude, possession of CDS, possession o f drug paraphernalia, failure to signal turn and failure to stop at a stop sign.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the investigation is ongoing.
