Big 12 Week 11: Cowboys Blown Out In Orlando, Cincinnati Wins First Conference Game

In Week 11, Oklahoma finally claimed a win after a two-week losing streak, and Oklahoma State faced a blowout loss to UCF.

Week 11 Winners:

UCF:

In the Knights' second conference win in the Big 12, UCF thrashed Oklahoma State 45-3, who themselves were coming off a close win over Oklahoma in Bedlam.

UCF quarterback John Rhys Plumlee put on an impressive performance, going just shy of 300 yards, totaling for 299 yards and three touchdowns.

The win was also UCF head coach Gus Malzahn's hundredth career win.

The Knights will travel to Lubbock, Texas, to face Texas Tech on Saturday, with bowl eligibility a single win away.

Cincinnati:

Finally, the Bearcats can claim a win against a Big 12 opponent after a 24-14 win over Houston.

Bearcats running back Corey Kiner ran for two touchdowns on the way to the team's win, totaling for 23 carries and 129 yards.

Next for the Bearcats is a trip to Morgantown to face West Virginia this weekend.

Iowa State:

In a win to become bowl eligible, the Iowa State Cyclones took on and defeated BYU 45-13 on Saturday.

Now 6-4, the Cyclones are also in the race for a spot in the Big 12 Championship game, but first, they'll have to win against No. 7 Texas on Saturday.

That game kick off at 7 p.m.

Kansas State:

Able to recover after a tough loss to Texas in Week 10, the No. 23 Wildcats bested the Baylor Bears 59-25 in Week 11.

Up ahead, the Wildcats are set to face cross-state rival Kansas in Lawrence for the 121st Sunflower Showdown.

Oklahoma:

Back in the Winners section after two weeks of losses, the Sooners showed they still have something to prove after a 59-20 win over West Virginia.

The win over the Mountaineers was perhaps the teams strongest performance all season, with two goal-line stops on defense and playmakers on offense such as Dillon Gabriel and Drake Stoops firing on all cylinders.

Gabriel's eight touchdowns are the most ever by a Sooner, and Stoops' 164 yards and three touchdowns reestablished him as a dominant force on the team.

In Week 12, the Sooners travel to Provo, Utah, to face BYU. The Cougars are one of the few teams who the Sooners have a losing record against, but have also never beaten.

Texas:

The Longhorns beat TCU 29-26 on Saturday to maintain their lead in the race for a conference championship.

Quarterback Quinn Ewers made a return to the field following an injury in the team's win against Houston in Week 8.

Next for the Longhorns is Iowa State, who may prove to be a formidable roadblock on the way to a possible Big 12 Championship.

Texas Tech:

Our final winner this week, the Red Raiders held the Kansas Jayhawks scoreless for three quarters, and staved off a fourth quarter comeback to win 16-13 in Lawrence.

Tied 13-13 with one play left in the game, Texas Tech kicker Gino Garcia was able to send the ball through the uprights from 30 yards away to seal the game in the Red Raider's favor.

Next for Texas Tech, a return to Lubbock to welcome UCF. Both teams are one win away from becoming bowl eligible.

Week 11 Losers:

Baylor:

Despite four touchdowns thrown by Bears quarterback Blake Shapen, Baylor wasn't able to overcome Kansas State on Saturday, falling 59-25.

Out of chances to become bowl eligible, the Bears are now set to face TCU in the Bluebonnet Battle for Week 12.

BYU:

Held to only two touchdowns, the Cougars fell to Iowa State on Saturday and postponing BYU's chances to become bowl eligible.

BYU will have two chances to do so, but both will be difficult. The team faces No. 14 Oklahoma in Week 12, and No. 24 Oklahoma State in Week 13.

The game against the Sooners begins at 11 a.m. Central Time on Saturday.

Houston:

Now 4-6 after a loss to Cincinnati, the Cougars will have to win both of their remaining games for a chance to go to a bowl game.

Their first matchup, against, No. 24 Oklahoma State, is at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Kansas:

After a tough loss to Texas Tech, Kansas must be able to recover is they hope to win against rival No. 23 Kansas State on Saturday.

Jayhawks quarterback Cole Ballard threw for 124 yards, but no touchdowns and a single interception, however running back Devin Neal ran for 137 yards and one touchdown.

Oklahoma State:

Despite a win over Oklahoma in Bedlam, the Cowboys were outclassed by the UCF Knights on all sides of the ball.

Cowboys quarterback Alan Bowman threw three interceptions, but no touchdowns.

The Cowboys are still in the race for the conference championship however, but will have to win over Houston on Saturday to stay in the race.

TCU:

Despite being on the losing end of the battle against Texas, TCU played well against the Longhorns.

Quarterback Josh Hoover threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns, and running back Emani Bailey had 21 carries and a single touchdown to add to the team's total.

TCU's next game is against Baylor on Saturday.

West Virginia:

Our last team the week, West Virginia, faced an overpowering Sooners team in Week 11.

The Mountaineers came out strong with a touchdown on their opening drive, but were quickly stopped in their tracks by the Sooners' defense.

West Virginia will return to Morgantown to host Cincinnati in Week 12.
