Hot Wheels Monster Trucks have made their way to Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center. This is the first time Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party has come to Oklahoma City.
Taylor Holman, one of the monster truck drivers, says she grew up around monster trucks.
“Eventually I was like, you know what I think I want to drive. So we set up a few dirt mounds, I went out to a field, learned how to drive,” Holman said. “Then Hot Wheels said, ‘hey, we want you’ so I decided to come in and learn how to crush cars. Whenever I did my first Hot Wheels show, it was the first time I'd ever crushed cars. So it's a lot of adrenaline. It's lots of fun.”
Holman’s husband also drives in the Hot Wheels Monster Truck show.
“We actually hold each other accountable for our runs every time. So we try to make each other better,” Holman said. “We run up against each other. We try to push each other to do better every single show.”
The Hot Wheels Monster Truck Show has multiple activities for kids, including Camp Crush activities and a Demo Derby Dance Party.
This is the first time Hot Wheels has brought the Glow Party to Oklahoma City. They are also adding motocross and a robot dinosaur.
