New court filings reveal more about what Oklahoma City police uncovered inside a vehicle belonging to a man charged in a triple murder.
Jacob Mayhugh is accused of killing his parents and sister inside their Chickasha home.
Following the killings, court filings show Jacob Mayhugh fled to Oklahoma City where he was arrested days later in Bricktown.
Flock cameras led police to his SUV.
According to filings, OKC police officers peered through the vehicle's windows ---observing "two AR15-style magazines" containing "53 live rounds of ammunition."
Oklahoma City Police arrested Jacob Mayhugh in Bricktown while sitting on a park bench.
In the days leading up to his arrest, investigators discovered his parents, James and Patty Mayhugh, and sister, Shayla Mayhugh, shot to death inside their home.
“I don’t know what was going on in his head. I can’t imagine doing that to my own parents,” said a concerned resident.
According to filings, Mayhugh told OSBI agents he planned to commit additional acts of violence.
While a motive has not been released the victims' relatives describe them as wonderful people who were beloved by friends and their community. “They were just amazing, they were selfless. I can't believe that someone like them… they didn’t deserve this. I can't believe they're gone. It's unreal,” said relative Savannah Burnett.

Family members want justice. “We're going to miss them and we're going to love them. If they were here right now, I’d just tell them we're going to bat for you,” said relative Adam Burnett.
Mayhugh will be represented by a court-appointed attorney. He will return to court on June 26 for a preliminary hearing conference.
