A health facility in Midwest City is helping to engage its residents to sharpen their minds and creativity through art.
The Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch took a visit to the facilities painting workshop at Oak Street Health on Thursday to take a look at the work the residents have put in.
Pammie Cameron, a patient at Oak Street Health, is one of patrons taking part in the workshop, helped News 9 to participate in the workshop full of fun and creative talent.
"This is what I use to manage my stress, anxiety, depression and pain because I cannot take medications for this," Cameron said. "I don't sleep well, this causes an immense amount of stress if you can't sleep. For me, I get up in the middle of the night, and I draw, I color, I paint, I do everything."
In addition to the arts and crafts workshops, Oak Street Health also offers many other free classes.
