Power Restored To Oklahoma City Residents After Vehicle Crash Downs Power Line

After a vehicle struck a power line Thursday morning, OG&E crews in northwest Oklahoma City worked to restore power to thousands of customers in the area.

OG&E crews worked to restore power Thursday morning after an outage caused by a vehicle striking a power line in northwestern Oklahoma City

According to Oklahoma City Police, the crash happened around 2 a.m. near located near Northwest 10th Street and North Meridian Avenue.

OG&E said over 5,000 customers were initially affected, but power has since been restored to most of the customers in the area.

The remaining customers should have their power restored shortly after.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
