Investigators identified a man found dead at a motel in northeast Oklahoma City over the weekend.

Police say someone shot him, and they haven't been caught.

Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Joel Rodriguez. Investigators need the public's help solving the city's 59th homicide of the year.

Police were called to check on a disturbance reported near Northeast 50th Street and Lincoln Boulevard just after 3 on Saturday morning.

When officers showed up to the Lincoln Inn they found the victim's body in a hallway on the second floor of the property. Police say Rodriguez appeared to have been shot to death.

"At this point, investigators have not been able to identify a suspect in this case so we certainly need the public's help in this one," Msgt. Gary Kight, OCPD said. "If you know something or saw or heard we want to hear from you through the homicide tipline."

The homicide tip line number is 405-297-1200. Callers can remain anonymous.
