A trio of talented sea lions made their annual appearance at the Tulsa State Fair.
Several times a day, fair visitors could check out special performances by sea lions Gouda, Stella, and Kika.
"It is really fun for me, you know what they say: look for a job that you really enjoy, and you don't have to work one day in your life. This is my life; I really love my job," trainer Nicky Fuentes said.
She said working with sea lions is something she's passionate about.
"The chance to be part of their life, to have this bond with them and just to be near them," Fuentes said.
Going through thousands of fish, Fuentes and her team worked with the sea lions on lots of tricks.
"In the show, you can see how clever, how beautiful they are, how high they can go jumping from the pools. You can see how they read stuff, how they balance a ball, a lot of stuff you can see in the show. You cannot miss it," she said.
Whether they were sunbathing, swimming laps, or catching a Frisbee, the trio of sea lions was definitely something for people to see during their visit to the fair.
The Sea Lion Splash show at the Tulsa State Fair is free to the public. Showtimes are Monday through Saturday, 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit TulsaStateFair.com
