With the weather so nice, a lot of folks are packing the first Friday of the fair.
People say it is perfect weather to be checking everything out as the first weekend of the fair begins.
Food is frying, rides are moving up, down, left and right, and the crowds are getting a look at everything the Tulsa State Fair has to offer.
Kasey Russo took her grandkids to see Disney on Ice, but their day was far from over.
"We went to the ice capades and now we're walking around, riding rides and eating food," she said.
When a turkey leg costs $21, you've got to savor every bite.
"Absolutely worth it,” Russo said. “It's huge, it's so good."
Across the midway, some are sporting a brave face and finding a scream and smiles on the more than 70 rides.
"When you're going down, it just drops you and it's scary, " said Kyrie Garrett.
If the office seems quiet, it could be because people like Miguel Bargas know the fair is back in town.
"I took a vacation day and me and the wife come out and spend time with our son, just have a good time together--family thing," he said.
The chance to enjoy the nice weather with his family is something he couldn’t pass up.
"Once a year, love it every year, come out and enjoy beautiful weather, so thanks Travis Meyer,” said Bargas.
While his son hops on his favorite rides, he's focused on which food line to hop in.
"My wife's hungry for steak and potatoes--and I thought OK--but she didn't want the turkey leg, so I don't know what we're going to try but she's ready to go eat," he said.
Fairgoers can see Jesse McCartney play on the big stage Friday night. That show is free with admission and starts at 8.
