With 25 residents, Yukon, Oklahoma was established in 1891 and has since grown into a town of well over 20,000 people. The Yukon Mill and Grain Company, opened in 1893, was the city's largest source of industrial growth. With more than 7,000 students, Yukon's school system currently consists of seven kindergarten through 3rd grade elementary schools, two 4th and 5th grade elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school campus.
