NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A high-speed pursuit that began at a Moore credit union Wednesday morning ended in a northwest Norman neighborhood after two men attempted to break into an OU coach's home.

According to police, 24-year-old Jill Trent was inside the Sooner Credit Union trying to cash a bogus check when an off-duty police officer got suspicious. The officer ran the tags on the Trent's car and found it was stolen. The officer went out with his weapon drawn and three people inside the car drove away. The officer went back inside the credit union and arrested Trent.

The suspects in the car led police down southbound Interstate 35 where they exited at Robinson Avenue near N.W. 48th Street and drove into the Brookhaven addition. The suspects then got out of the vehicle near the home of OU Running Backs Coach Cale Gundy.

A neighborhood security camera caught the SUV coming to a stop and showed the two men and a woman inside bailing out and taking off.

Police immediately took 24-year-old Christine Mabry into custody. The other two suspects, 27-year-old Jeremiah Fisher and 23-year-old Dustin Vanderpool, were arrested after the men reportedly tried to break into Coach Gundy's home.

"Norman had a call that they were trying to get into a back door of a house just down the street here, and that kind of gave their location," said MPO Jeremy Lewis, Moore Police Department.

Police said Fisher has a history with Moore police of drug-related crimes.

There were initial reports of a hostage in the car, but police later said all three people in the car were taken into custody. The four suspects were then booked into jail.

Truman Elementary, which is nearby, was placed on lockdown as a result of the pursuit.

Officers are looking for a gun one of the suspects was believed to have abandoned.

Inside the car investigators said they found all kinds of fake ids.
