PURCELL, Oklahoma -- If you love all things classic, then Butler's Antiques is a must-see.
It's in the old Hotel Love built in 1895. Jerry and Elaine Butler have owned it for over 30 years, first as a drug store.
But all that changed after Jerry went to a local auction.
"He came home with two, three boxes of really neat stuff, and the next week when it was time for auction, I went," Elaine said.
More antiques require more space, and when the Butlers rearranged things, they found a whole new clientele.
"As soon as we put stuff in the windows, people started to come into the drugstore wanting to go to the antique store. And we told them there wasn't one, and they said but we see stuff in the windows, can we go look anyway?" Elaine said.
Jerry and Elaine dropped the drugstore, and moved into the antique business full time after that. Some of their stuff even went Hollywood, and made it into the movie "Twister".
If you think there are a lot of antiques downstairs, wait till you see the second floor. You may want to take you time when you do come upstairs, because everything there is on sale.
Everything… except the ones that tell the legends of Purcell, you just can't put a price on a good story.
