Legislation allowing Oklahomans with permits to openly carry firearms has a better chance at passing this year.
I just don't see a need for it, but here's what you had to say:
William from Edmond: "I would rather know someone is carrying a gun than not know at all.
If eating in a restaurant with customers who are openly carrying, I feel safer.
Ray from Pauls Valley: "As a former Police officer I believe open carry would make it to easy to settle a common disagreement with a gun, I fully agree with the concealed law, open carry is going back to the frontier."
Ann from Del City: "If it means just walking into Walmart with a gun stuck inside your jean's waistband, absolutely not, but you know some people will think that's what it means."
Gene from Tuttle: "This country was founded on the right to own firearms.
It didn't limit where or when.
Why should you have the right to limit my freedoms as you see fit?"
Mitch from Altus: "Why should I have to hide the weapon.
I'm a 40 year military retiree fully trained on weapons."
Finally Duane says: "Thomas Jefferson said that an armed society is a polite society.
He was right!"
