The polls in Oklahoma will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, November 6.
Thousands of voters were assigned new polling places in 2011. You can find your polling place by visiting www.elections.ok.gov.
State law requires voters to present a valid ID. That includes unexpired federal, state or tribal documents with the voter's name and picture.
Long lines are expected for a presidential election. The State of Oklahoma says lines may be shorter from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
It's important to note that you do not have to vote in every race to have your vote count. The polls close at 7 p.m. As long as you're in line by 7 p.m., you'll be able to vote.
The Oklahoma State Election Board is asking everyone to be prepared. It wants voters to study up on the candidates and issues. The board says it makes the whole process move a lot faster.
News 9 will have complete election coverage on the evening of Tuesday, November 6. Plus, all the results will be listed on News9.com and on our News 9 mobile apps.
