Edmond Fire Crews Battle House Fire

Crews responded to the scene of a house fire on the southeast side of Edmond, Wednesday night.

Firefighters got the call to a home located at 3101 E. 44^th St. at around 9:20 p.m.

When crews arrived on scene they reported flames and smoke pouring from the home. It is unclear at this time how the fire started or if anyone was home at the time.

Because the fire is located in a rural area, crews had to shuttle in water because there are not a lot of hydrants available.

No other information was immediately available.
