New York Convicted Sex Offender On The Run Arrested In Lawton

A convicted sex offender on the run from New York is found hiding here in Oklahoma.

Peter Green was discovered inside a home in the 1300 block of N.W. Taylor in Lawton. Police say he was convicted in 2011 for preying on a child under the age of 11.

Authorities say Green had been using the identity of Damel Burton.

Green was booked into the Lawton City Jail and will be transferred to the Comanche County Detention Center to await extradition to New York.

Green will also be facing additional charges of failure to register as a sex offender and identity theft.
