Students, parents, and teachers at Rejoice Christian School in Owasso tell us Monday was like Christmas Day.  That's because Monday was the first day of classes in a brand new, multi-million dollar preschool and elementary school facility.

Owasso's Rejoice Christian Opens Its New Elementary School

Students, parents, and teachers at Rejoice Christian School in Owasso tell us Monday was like Christmas Day. That's because Monday was the first day of classes in a brand new, multi-million dollar preschool and elementary school facility.

The new school is located on 129th East Avenue near 106th Street North.

The 87,000 square foot building has 50 classrooms, upgraded technology, and a state-of-the art gym that doubles as a storm shelter. Workers broke ground on the new school 13-months ago and students couldn't wait for them to finish.

"Many parents said our kids didn't want to go to sleep and they got up at five o'clock this morning because they knew this would be the first day in school," said Craig Shaw with Rejoice Christian School.

News On 6 took a tour of the new school building back in August.

Construction on Rejoice Christian's new middle and high school campus, and athletic facilities should be finished next summer.
